(this travelogue is a little late in coming, considering we went to disneyland in april,
but better late than never is still one of my mottos. :)
it almost didn't happen {between money and moving} but we decided it was worth the memories since we'd be living across the country for 3 years. lindsay and grandma and grandpa skinner were able to make it which made everything WAY more fun. the first of the 3 days started out with some light rain showers, enough to keep the park from being too crowded, which was awesome.
after a couple rides madison started asking to see the princesses and wanted them to sign her book. apparently they don't walk around the park anymore so we waited an HOUR to see them at the princess fantasy faire. but it was worth the look of awe on madison's face as she met a few of them and got her autograph book signed.
don't let the fact that she didn't want the princesses touching her at all make you think she wasn't excited. :)
we lost count of how many times the girls rode the carousel. it was a lot.
the parade. front row seats. very fun.
misc about day one:
*grace dropped her sunglasses into the water at california adventure
*riding mr. toad first, because it had the shortest line, scared madison and she had to be coaxed to ride the other indoor ones.
*the girls probably rode the carousel 10 times.
*first time going to california adventure
*california screamin' was way more fun the second time. after i recouped from the first time.
*the matterhorn was out of commision
*i realized i'm glad space mountain is pitch black because i had a huge grin on my face the whole time. except for when i screamed.
*fast passes combined with rider switch passes made an awesome pair. we rode A LOT of rides.
*churro. enough said.
*i can't ride the teacups. they make me sick. the carousel and dumbo are border line.
* tower of terror - i found lindsay's hand grips ;)
*firework show - incredible. but madison slept through it. i thought about waking her up so she could see tinkerbell fly through sky but decided after 14 hours or disneyland, she deserved a break.
more to come about day 2...
